About Wendy J St Christopher
My dreams are always in color! Part serious technology geek, part exuberantly creative insomniac. Welcome to my world! As a digital artist and photographer, I create with PC, printer, and/or camera, instead of canvas, paint, and brush. I'm always in hot pursuit of the elusive "Wow!" factor. Thanks, in part, to the boundless marketing potential of the Internet, my art is being collected worldwide, having been shipped to many far-flung locations over the years. (New Zealand being the most distant, Penzance being the most unexpected ... so far!) NOTE: Click on any image for a larger, more detailed view. Museum-quality prints, plus many framing and matting options, are available here! * * * If a little dreaming is...

LOL Happy that your are happy Wendy :)

cool capture Wendy, well done! Reminds me of an illustration in a Jules Verne book I used to have as a kid :)
Wendy J St Christopher replied:
Dean, you've made my day! (Night?) I was going for a Jules Verne/steampunk-y feel with this series. I knew it was what I wanted as soon as I spotted this concrete block plant sitting in a vacant lot. Really -- I can't tell you how excited I am by your keen powers of observation -- thanks! :-)

I operated a Container Crane (Dock Shipping) and a Whirly Crane (my Favorite) Although not quite as high up there as the Tower crane, I felt very much like I was flying, and an Ariel Ballet. Much coordination and motion sensitivity is necessary for these jobs. I will look around for my pics of them... Awesome work

If this is the first of a new Series, I can't wait to see more. I love machinery and moving things. I used to be a Crane Operator...Loved it! I also Love your digital work
Wendy J St Christopher replied:
Thanks so much, Dan -- glad you like it! The second one is already posted in my Photo-based gallery, where you'll also find a series of five Tower Crane images. I don't know what kind of crane you operated, but experiencing one of those skyscraper-height tower cranes is definitely on my 'bucket list'. I still have to pull over and watch, whenever I see one in operation; that giant, swinging arm gives me a thrill, every time! I love machinery and 'parts', too. :-)
