Such a beautiful, welcoming work of art, Wendy ... I have to laugh at your comment that you wish you could find the spot again ... I know what you mean!!!!! By the way, I love the material the road is made of. We don't see it here, but somewhere in the back of my memories, I remember it from somewhere ... not sure if it was local ... or elsewhere (my parents loved to take loooong road trips) ... but it's good to see it again!!! Great, welcoming composition and beautiful colors!!! l/f and tweeted

Thanks, Lois! There are several spots I'd love to revisit and/or re-shoot . . . if only I could find them! :-) Indeed, this is a lovely, two-lane road, off the beaten track and so pristine and begging to be immortalized! Thank you kindly for the great comment and promotion! :-)

Nice image Wendy! Love the perspective from the road.... always wondered if taking pictures like this would be dangerous. :) V/F

Thanks, Jeff! Yes, I'm sure 'road pictures' could be very dangerous -- which is why I never attempt them unless I have a very reliable 'spotter' or two. The spotter's only job is to continuously scan the road, and lay on the horn as soon as a vehicle is within viewing or hearing range. Also, I don't shoot this type of picture in noisy, urban, areas; only in quiet rural locations where you can both hear and see (and feel, if it's a truck) an oncoming vehicle from quite a distance. It's a calculated risk but, at this point, I've grown w-a-y past my 'adrenaline junkie' days! Thanks for mentioning that; I'll amend my description with a warning/reminder. :-)
