Description
Portrait of a freight train, at rest.
A black and white version of this image is also available in this online gallery.
* NOTE -- This image is beautiful and long lasting with your choice of any of FAA's premium finishes, including FAA's lightweight, glossy, Metal Print (image printed on aluminum) or the lustrous Acrylic Print finish (printed behind a crystal-clear sheet of acrylic). Either of these finishes will provide a sleek, contemporary, focal point on your wall.
Metal and Acrylic prints require no framing, and arrive ready-to-hang. However, both can be reflective in direct light, so pay careful attention to the lighting (natural and man-made) in your space, before ordering.
If ordering a paper print, FAA's Premium Semi-matte paper would be a great choice for this image.
Other options (paper, canvas, etc.) are also available here.
** Wood Print option is NOT recommended for this image!
Explore the attractive custom framing and matting options available on this page; all are competitively priced.

I love this. It just looks like a piece of Americana. Great composition, and the dirt gives it so much charm.
Wendy J St Christopher replied:
Thanks so much, Scott! I was lucky to have an opportunity to photograph this beauty. :-)
Joe White
I love this image Wendy. Very powerful! Where was it taken?
Wendy J St Christopher replied:
Thanks, Joe! This photograph was taken at the UP train yard in Glidden, Texas, a handful of years ago. It was hot as blazes that day . . . but worth it! :-)

Wendy J St Christopher replied:
Thank you, Sai! I was very lucky to be in the train yard to photograph this beauty. There wasn't a lot of room to maneuver, but I managed to inch my way into just the right space, I think! :-)

Wendy, just love this fabulous capture of the way things were! Very typical of when I lived near the tracks and saw trains like this every day. I took them for granted. And, now to see one is a real treat. Thanks much for sharing, Wendy and for the memories of days past! fave and vote
Wendy J St Christopher replied:
Thank you kindly, Randy -- what a great comment! I really appreciate you taking the time. :-)
