This tree reminds me of my favorite place. That's what art is supposed to do! Good job!

Thank you kindly, Shirley.

Gosh this ever so great grandmother tree is absolutely beautiful Wendy!

Thank you, Syd! She is a beauty, standing (leaning!) right near the edge of Medina Lake. I spotted here immediately - and vowed to bring some small part of her personality home with me, in the form of a photograph. :-)

Wendy - this is quite lovely. & I love that you titled it Grandmother, as I have often felt the impression that trees are our ancestors offering protection.

Hi, Janine -- just noticed that I posted this January comment in the wrong place, so I've moved it here. ---- Thanks for the beautiful comment, Janine. I feel much the same about trees. We walk upon the earth, but they're rooted in it, sometimes for more years than we could ever imagine. It's a connection that boggles the mind! :-) January 4th, 2014

Very nicely balanced composition and nice use of colour. Great use of post processing, I'm reminded of a mosaic. v

Martin, I very much appreciate the beautifully worded comment (compliment!). Thank you, very much! :-)

About Wendy J St Christopher

Wendy J St Christopher

My dreams are always in color! Part serious technology geek, part exuberantly creative insomniac. Welcome to my world! As a digital artist and photographer, I create with PC, printer, and/or camera, instead of canvas, paint, and brush. I'm always in hot pursuit of the elusive "Wow!" factor. Thanks, in part, to the boundless marketing potential of the Internet, my art is being collected worldwide, having been shipped to many far-flung locations over the years. (New Zealand being the most distant, Penzance being the most unexpected ... so far!) NOTE: Click on any image for a larger, more detailed view. Museum-quality prints, plus many framing and matting options, are available here! * * * If a little dreaming is...
