I have no idea how you created this image. Wish I had some of these skills! f/v
Wendy J St Christopher replied:
Thanks so much, Nancy! Digital tools are a great fit for the way my mind works. I'm grateful to be creating art in this digital age -- though I wouldn't mind being more naturally gifted at drawing! ;-)

Congrats for being the next Special Home Page Feature in the group: 'Fractal Abstract Or Digital Creations'! :)
Wendy J St Christopher replied:
Thank you for the Special Home Page Feature, Andee -- I'm honored! :-)

This reminds me of those custom papers which were coated with both oil and water based pigments to produced interesting rippled effects. usually the ripples were more linear than circular. The saturated, darker colors in your "liquid" give them a strangely solid feeling. Thus I would say that this image has remarkable gravitas.
Wendy J St Christopher replied:
Thanks for your well-thought response, Gregory! I've actually made a simple version of the papers you've mentioned, using hand-made paper, acrylic paint and metallic paint in a water solution. Not the exact method, but a very similar look.

You truly give color dimension. It looks liked water droplets in a pool.
Wendy J St Christopher replied:
I love working with ripples, drops and other 'liquid' elements. You may never see a 'real world' pool quite like this one, but wouldn't it be cool if you did? Thanks, Diana! :-)
