Artist's Description

This is one of a series of symmetrical, Photographic Art images, created from an original photo of an enormous, Art Deco ceiling fixture. For many years, the fixture held court in the main auditorium of the historic Municipal Auditorium, in San Antonio, Texas. (The extensively renovated structure is now known as the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts.)

I'm pleased to have captured several photographs of the vintage fixture before the recent dismantling for renovation.

These enhanced images of rich, golden browns and classic glass blocks, provide a beautiful focal point when exhibited together, and are also striking when displayed singly. Other images in the 'After Deco' series are available in this gallery.
